Art Industry – Computer Graphics

Friday, August 14th, 2009

For a few years now, the art industry has been receiving massive input from computer technology. Computer art or graphics is definitely prolific these days. A lot of jobs in the industry today are held by computer graphic artists. So, what exactly does a graphic artist do? Just think of it this way – if your traditional painter manipulates brush and paints, a graphic artist manipulates pixels and other computer data. Graphic artists can either master the craft of 2D art or 3D art. 3D artists are usually found in the entertainment industry as well. Sci-fi and fantasy movies will never be made without the help of 3D and CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) masters. Yes, computer graphics can be complicated. Aside from your artistic skills, this type of art would also require constant update of knowledge regarding software programs. However, pursuing this line of artistic expression can have many excellent rewards. So if you are considering entering the world of arts, consider entering the world of computers as well!

Art Car

Friday, August 14th, 2009

Art is not limited to any media. Even a car can be a great alternative to canvas. That is why art cars exist! An art car is generally an automobile whose exteriors are modified by owners to express their artistic preferences. Of course, the interiors can be modified too, but “cartists” tend to love displaying their works to the public – thus the car’s exterior gets more of the modification. So, what are the modifications done to art cars? The choices are limitless really – some would want to paint their cars to resemble animals and some would put actual animal models on the roofs of their cars. Car graffiti is also part of art cars. Art car designs can include funny pictures (e.g.: a hand crumpling the car door), cool effects (e.g.: fire or water designs), and really beautiful artistry (e.g.: a rendition of a panoramic vista). As you can see, art cars possess a lot of desirable factors. If you are looking for a more unique way of expressing yourself, become a car artist now!

Managing an Art Gallery

Friday, August 14th, 2009

Are the art pieces in your gallery starting to collect dust? Are there no people entering the gallery’s doors even if you had been in business for a while now? It could be that you are not managing your art gallery well. The first thing you must do is advertise. Do not hesitate to tell your friends and co-workers about the gallery. Place some posters on public bulletin boards. You can even hold exhibits with free foods and drinks to draw the crowd in. Next, ensure that you are offering a fair price for each art piece you are selling. Make it too expensive and people will shy away from your gallery. If a customer comes in, be kind and accommodating, but do not disturb if he appears deep in thought about a piece. If you get an order, make sure you deliver promptly. Managing a business is really just all about satisfying customers, so do your best in that regard.
